– Remove air filter, b 14.1.
: Take out screws (arrows).
– Turn switch shaft to position "#"1
and remove spacer flange (1).

– Examine spacer flange, replace if
necessary.
The new spacer flange is supplied
complete with rubber buffers and
clamps.

: Drive out rubber buffers (arrows)
and examine them, replace if
necessary.

: Press rubber buffer (1) into hole
(arrow) until it encloses the hole
completely.
– Use STIHL Press Fluid for easier
insertion, b 17.

: Press tab (arrow) downwards.
– Turn clamps downwards.

: Slide clamps (1) up and out of the
mount.

– Examine clamps, replace if
necessary.
– Install clamps in reverse
sequence, taking care to ensure
that the tab engages.
Ensure that the clamps are open.
: Slide spacer flange (1) into
position over the switch shaft
(arrow).
– The bearing guides must engage
the buffers in the filter base.

– Insert screws and tighten them
down.
– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.
– Tightening torques, b 3.5.
