VISUAL HAZARD ALERTS
To aid the user in safe operation of Strasbaugh machines, visual hazard
alert graphics are placed in appropriate locations throughout the
operation and maintenance manuals and on the machines themselves.
The graphics alert the user to the existence of pinch points, areas of
potential entanglement, hot surfaces, chemical hazards, and electrical
hazards on the machine.
HAZARD MAGNITUDE LEVELS
The definitions of the keywords (signal words) used to define hazard
levels are shown below:
Keyword Definition_____________________________
Danger - Immediate hazards which will result in severe
personal injury or death.
Warning - Hazards or unsafe practices which could result in
severe personal injury or death.
Caution - Hazards or unsafe practices which could result in
minor personal injury or product or property
damage.
