Operation and Maintenance Manual Model 7AA Wafer Grinder

LUBRICATION
Machine lubrication requirements are maintained by automatic
lubricators located on the rear panel of the machine and on the
pneumatic valve panel.
The automatic lubricator on the rear machine panel is operated
by an air pulse that is supplied from the lubricator valve
(designated SOL1) on the pneumatic valve manifold. The valve
is operated at regular intervals by the control software. The oil
flow delivered by the pump at each interval is controlled by an
internal stroke adjustment on the lubricator. Refer to the
manufacturer's literature included in this manual for a detailed
description of this adjustment.
A float switch in the lubricator reservoir will indicate a low level
condition on the utilities check list.
An oil mist lubricator mounted on the pneumatic valve panel
introduces an oil fog into the air stream supplying the lubricated
air manifold. This provides lubrication for the valve spool and
air cylinders. A red plastic knob on the top of the lubricator
regulates the oil delivery rate. This should be adjusted so that
the oil is consumed every 2000-4000 hours. Since no switch is
provided for oil level detection periodic inspection should be
implemented.
Both lubricators should be filled with a light lubricating oil such as
Shell tellus 10, 15, 20 or 27.
