Positioning the optional two-stage permanently attached IV pole
CAUTION
Do not load the IV pole above the safe working load of 40 lb (18 kg).
Note: The two-stage permanently attached IV pole is an option that was installed at either the head, foot, or both ends
of the bed. This choice was made when the product was purchased.
To position the IV pole:
1. Lift and pivot the IV pole from the storage position and push down until the IV pole locks into the receptacle.
2. To raise the height of the pole, pull up on the telescoping portion (A) of the pole until it locks into place at its fully
raised position (Figure 17 on page 29).
3. Rotate the IV hangers (B) to the desired position and hang the IV bags (Figure 17 on page 29).
4. To lower the pole, turn the latch (C) clockwise until the telescoping portion (A) lowers into the bottom tube (Figure
17 on page 29).
5. Lift up and pivot the pole down into the storage position.
