CYLINDER HEAD
• Fit the dowel pins 1 and new cylinder head gasket 2 to the
cylinder.

• Place the cylinder head on the cylinder.
NOTE:
When installing the cylinder head, keep the cam chain taut.
• Tighten the cylinder head bolts (M10) in the following
four-step.
Step 1:
• Tighten the cylinder head bolts to the specified torque with a
torque wrench sequentially and diagonally.
Step 2:
• Loosen all the cylinder head bolts diagonally.
Step 3:
• Retighten the cylinder head bolts to the specified torque with
a torque wrench sequentially and diagonally.
Step 4:
• Additionally tighten the cylinder head bolts with the specified
angles diagonally using an angular torque gauge.
 Cylinder head bolt (M10):
Step 1/Step 3 : 31 N·m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.5 lb-ft)
Final step : 60° (1/6 turn)
NOTE:
Apply engine oil to the washers and thread portion of the bolts
before installing the cylinder head bolts.
• Tighten the cylinder head bolts to the specified torque.
 Cylinder head bolt (M6): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
Use a new gasket to prevent gas leakage.
