• Remove the inner rod/damper rod (cartridge) B.
• Slide the outer tube to remove it from the inner tube.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the “ANTI-FRICTION” metals.
• Remove the dust seal C and oil seal stopper ring D.
• Remove the oil seal with the special tool.

• Remove the oil seal retainer E.
Do not disassemble the inner rod/damper rod (car-
tridge).
The removed oil seal must be replaced with a new one.
