7. At the right-hand crankcase cover, loosen the
clutch cable locknuts (A. Figure 206) and turn the
adjuster ( B. Figure 206) until th ere is maxi mum
slack in the cabl
e.
8. Pry open the locking lab ( Figure 207) on th e
release arm .
9. Pla ce a 19 mm open e nd wrench ( Figure 208)
on the clut ch relea se arm a nd ca r ef ull y pu sh d ow n
on the wrench. Th is will allow additional slack in
the ca ble.
10. Disengage th e clutch cable from the release
arm (Figure
209) and the receplacle on th e ri ght-
hand crankcase cover.

11 . Remove the bo lt s ( Figure 210 ) securing the
rig
hi -hand crankcase cover. Note the location of
the special washcrs under 3 of the bo lt s (W. Figure
210). These special washers must be reinsta ll ed in
the same location undcr these specific bolts or the
cover w
ill leak oil.
12. Remove the right·hand cra nk case cover and
gasket. Don't lose the locating dowels.
Installation
1. Make s ur e the locating dowels ( Figure 211 ) are
in place.
