8. Remove the boil ( Figure 218 ) securing the drive
belt lower cover at the rear.
9. Remove the bolt and washer (A, Figure 219)
securing the front
of both the drive be lt upper and
lower covers at the fronl.
10. Remove the lower cover ( B. Figure 219).
11. Remove th e bolt (F igure 220) securing the
drive belt upper cover at the rear.
1 2. Pull the drive belt upper cover (Figure 221 )
up al th e rear and remove the upper cover.
i3 . Shift the transmission into gear.
14 . Straighten the tab (Figure 222) on the
lo ck washer.
15. Have an assistant apply the rear brake and
loosen the dri
ve pulley nUl ( Figure 223).
16. Remove the nut and lockwasher. Discard the
lo ck wa sher.
17 . In sert a drift or rod into the hole ( figure 224)
in the left-hand side
of the axle.
