9. Rem ove the sc rews securing the ca m guide
(Figure 13 ) and remove th e cam guide.
10 . Using nccdlcnose pliers. remove th e cam
stopper spring
(Figure 14 ).
11 . Unscrew the threaded stud and remove the cam
stopper and washer (A, Figure 15 ).
12 . Remo ve the shoulder bolt ( B. Figure 15 )
securing
th e cam dri ve n gear and stopper plate.
13. Remove the ca m driven gear assembly ( Figure
16) from the stopper plate. Don't lose th e pawls.
springs and pins in the assembl y. Store the cam
gear assembl y in a spray paim can lOp to keep a ll
co mp onents together until th ey arc disassembled
and cleaned.
14. Remove the stopp er plate ( Figure 17 ) and the
spacer (Figure 18 ) from the cnd of the shift drum.
