8. Remove th e screw ( Figur e 13 ) and plate
securing the nee dl e va l ve assembly and remove th e
assembly ( Figur e 14 ).
9.
Unscrew the pilot jet (Figure 15 ).
10. Unscrew the main jc t ( Figure 16 ) and remove
th e main jet washer (Figure 17 ).
11 . Turn the carburetor over and ge ntl y tap the side
of th e body. Catch the needle jet (Figure 18 ) as
it fa ll s OUI into your hand. If the needle je t does
not
fall OUI. usc a plastic or fiber tool and gently
push the n
ccdlejct OUI. Do not use any metal tools
for thi s purpose.
12 . Remove the screws securing the transient
enrichme
nt va lve cover ( Figure 19 ), Remove the
cover. the spring (Figure 20) and t he diaphragm
assembly (A. Figure 21 ).
13 . Unscrew and remo ve the starter (cho ke )
plunger assembly (Figure 22 ).
14 . Remove the idle adjust screw and spring
(Figure 23).
