2. Rem ove the sc rews and cove r (Fig ur e 14 )
secur in g the brake light switch to the m aS ler
cy linder. Remove th e switch assembly a nd t he
switch contact ( Figur e IS).
3. Remove the bolt and nut (Fig ur e 16) securing
the hand lever and remove th e levcr.
4. Remove the screws (F ig ur e 17) securing the lOp
cover and remove the top cover a nd the diaphragm
(Figure 18).
5. Pour o ut any re sidual hydraulic flu id and disca rd
il. Nel 'u reu se h yd raul ic fluid.
6. Remove the rubber boo t (Fig ur e 19 ) from the
area
wh ere the hand lever actuates the p is ton
asse mb l y.
7. U si ng cir cl ip pliers, rem ove the internal circlip
Ct' igurc 20 ) from the bod y.
8. Remove the piston assembly a nd the spring
(Fig ur e 21 ).
