• Remove the handlebar clamp bolts and handlebars assembly.
• Disconnect the brake hose from the clamp.
• Remove the cotter pins and tie rod end nuts.
• Remove the tie rods.
$
• Separate the tie rod ends
6, nuts
7 and
8, and tie rods
9.
$
• Remove the cotter pin and steering shaft nut.
$
Replace the removed cotter pins with new ones.
The locknuts
7 have left-hand threads.
Replace the removed cotter pins with new ones.
