TRANSFER GEARSHIFT CAM
OIL SEAL INSPECTION
Inspect the lip of the oil seal for wear or damage. If any damages
are found, replace the oil seal with a new one.
OIL SEAL REMOVAL
• Remove the oil seal with a suitable bar.
NOTE:
If there is no abnormal condition, the oil seal removal is not nec-
essary.

OIL SEAL INSTALLATION
• Press the oil seal into the gearshift shaft with special tool to
the depth of 0 – 1 mm (0 – 0.04 in).
( 09924-84521: Bearing installer set
NOTE:
The stamped mark on the oil seal faces outside.
• Apply a small quantity of the SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A” to
the oil seal lip.
' 99000-25030: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A” (USA)
99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A” (Others)
The removed oil seal must be replaced with a new one.
