Removal and Installa tion Procedures
This subsection contains procedures for removal and installation of all mechani-
cal and electrical modules.
Preparation
WARNING. To prevent possible injury to service personnel or damage to the
oscilloscope components, read the Safety Summary found at the beginning of this
manual, Installation in Section 2, and Preventing ESD in this section before
starting any procedure in this manual.
This subsection contains the fol l owi ng items:

follow.
! List of tools required to remove and disassemble all modules.
! Procedures for removal and rei nst a l l at i on of the electrical and mechanical
modules.
! A disassembly pr oc e dur e for removal of all the major modules from the
oscilloscope at one time a nd for reassembl y of those modules into the
oscilloscope. Instructions for doing the actual cleaning are found under
Inspection and Cle ani ng at the beginning of this section.
WARNING. To prevent serious injury or death to your self,disconnect the power
cord from the line voltage source before doing any procedure in this subsec t i on.
NOTE. Read Equipment Required for a list of the tools needed to remove and
install modules in this oscill osc ope . See Table 6--3, page 6--8.
Read the cle ani ng procedure before disassembling the oscilloscope for cleaning.
