Troubleshooting

faults to a module.
This section assumes that ser vi c e personnel have the prerequisit e skills requir e d
to work on this oscilloscope, including PC troubleshooting and Windows 2000
skills. Details of PC and Windows 2000 operation and service are not in this
manual.
For assistance, contact your l oc a l Tektronix Service Center.
Service Level
This subsection contains information and procedures designed to help you isolate
faulty modules in the oscilloscope . If a module needs to be replace d, follow the
Removal and Instal l at i on Procedures located in this section.
Check for Common Problems
Use Table 6--4 to quickly isolate possible failur e s. The table lists problems and
possible causes. T he list is not exhaustive, but it may help you eliminate a
problem that is quick to fix, such as a blown fuse or loose cable.
