gallons/minute)
B.Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsatnoload.
12.VerifythepumpowatUnderLoadasfollows:
CAUTION
Donotclosetestervalvefullywhenperformingthistest.Inthis
test,thehydraulictesterispositionedbeforethecircuitreliefvalve.
Pumpdamagecanoccuriftheuidowiscompletelyrestrictedby
fullyclosingthetesterowcontrolvalve.
A.Monitorthetesterpressuregaugecarefullywhileslowlyclosingtheow
controlvalveuntil5,516kPa(800psi)isobtainedonthetesterpressure
gauge.
B.Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsunderload.
13.Opentheowcontrolvalvefully,movethethrottletolowspeedpositionand
setthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition.
14.Theunderloadtestowreading(step12)shouldnotdropmorethan15%
whencomparedtothenoloadtestowreading(step11).Adifferenceinow
ofmorethan15%(UnderLoad>NoLoadX0.85)mayindicate:
A.Arestrictioninthepumpinletline.
B.Thegearpumpiswornandshouldbereplacedorrepaired;refertoGear
Pump(page5–65)orServicingtheGearPump(page5–67).
