allow stored energy to dissipate after power
is
disconnected, wait
at
least five minutes before replacing parts.
The generator contains electrostatic-sensitive components. When repairing the
generator,
work at a static-control workstation. Wear a grounding strap when
handling electrostatic-sensitive components, except when working on an energized
generator. Handle circuit boards
by
their nonconductive edges. Use an antistatic
container for transport of electrostatic-sensitive components and circuit boards.

Calibrate the generator after you install a new Power Supply/RF Board.
Component differences may affect output waveforms.
Step
1 -
Remove
the
Power
Supply/RF
Board
Assembly
A.
Turn
off
the
generator.
Disconnect
the
pmver
cord
from
the
wall
receptacle.
B.
Remove
the
five
screws
that
secure
the
cover
to
the
chassis. Lift
the
cover
off
the
chassis.
Set
the
cover
and
scre"vs
aside
for
reinstallation.

Disconnect
and
remove
the
front
panel
assembly.

Unlock
the
connector
on
the
Control
board
and
disCOlmect
the
display
board
ribbon
cable
from
the
Control
board.

Disconnect
the
power
switch
cable
from
the
Power
Supply
/
Rfboard.
(3)
Disconnect
the
two
REM COlmectors
from
the
Power
Supply
/
RFboard.
(4)
Remove
the
four
screws
that
secure
the
front
panel
to
the
chassis.
Save
the
screws
for
reinstallation.
(5)
Slide
the
front
panel
assembly
forward,
carefully
disengaging
it
from
the
electrical
contacts
on
the
Power
Supply
/RF
board.

Disconnect
the
Footswitch
board
ribbon
cable
from
the
Power
Supply
/
RFboard.
E.
Discomlect
the
power entry
module
from
the
Power
Supply
/RF
board.
F.
Remove
the
four
screvv's
that
secure
the
rail
to
the
chassis. AJso
remove
thE:'
screw
in
the
center
of
the
Power
Supply
/ RF
board
(behind
the
Control
board).
Save
the
screws
for
reinstallation.

Remove
the
assembly
(Power
Supply
/ RI'
board,
heat
sinks,
Control
board,
low
voltage
power
supply,
fan)
from
the
chassis.
