Maintaining The Printer
Do the following inspections and perform the measures as per the
scheduled frequency.
Spare Parts List
Table 7-2 contains the spare parts list for the Videojet 8520 printer.
Inspection Check point Frequency Measures
Printhead
Check the contact pins
visually for damage/
corrosion
Monthly If necessary, replace the printhead. Return
the damaged printhead to us!
Check the head plate for
wear
Monthly If necessary, replace the head plate.
Check the function of the
cartridge locking lever.
As Required If necessary, replace the locking lever.
Cable
Check all screw-fastened
plug-and-socket connectors
for tight fit.
As Required If necessary, retighten them.
Check the printhead cables
in the cable carriers for
visible chafing, wear or
crushed areas.
Quarterly If necessary, replace the printhead cables.
