In the following example, a project plan is supposed to fulfil class B require-
ments without air filters, with 8 apertures and with the additional use of a
steam trap. The red arrows show the possible project plans with varying pipe
shapes and fan voltages.
1 Selection
Selection of the corresponding project planning table based on the air filter to be used
(see Chap 5.2.2 )
Result
The project planning table has been determined
2 Selection
Selection of the number of aspiration apertures in the project planning table
Result
The achievable sensitivity class for the selected number of apertures has been de-
termined
3 Selection
Determinations on the sensitivity necessary to achieve the sensitivity class
Result
Determination of the detector module and sensitivity setting
4 Selection
Selection of other pipe components ( e.g. steam trap and detonation protection see
Chap. 5.2.2 described components)
Result
The project planning table has been determined
5 Selection
Pipe length selection
Result
Determination of the pipe shape and necessary fan voltage
