See Figure 7-18. Use the vertical adjustment screws to adjust the idle-side blade wheel. To tilt the
wheel up, loosen the bottom adjustment screw one quarter turn. Loosen the jam nut on the top
adjustment screw and tighten the screw. Tighten the top and bottom jam nuts.
To tilt the wheel down, loosen the top adjustment screw one quarter turn. Loosen the jam nut on the
bottom adjustment screw and tighten the screw. Tighten the top and bottom jam nuts.
9. Recheck the vertical tilt of the idle-side blade wheel with the blade guide alignment tool. Readjust the
blade wheel as necessary until the front and rear of the tool are the same distance from the bed rail
(within 1/16" [1.5 mm]).
10. Check the position of the blade on the idle-side blade wheel.
See Figure 7-19. The horizontal tilt of the blade wheel should be adjusted so that the gullet of a
1-1/4" blade is 1/8" (3 mm) out from the front edge of the wheel (±1/26 [1mm]).The gullet of a 1-1/2"
blade should be 3/16" (4.5 mm) out from the front edge of the wheel (±1/26 [1 mm]). Do not let the
teeth ride on the wheels.
