SHIM SELECTION
Forward gear
1. Install a bearing housing puller (special
service tool) in the bearing housing so
that it engages with the center bolt of
the propeller shaft.
NOTE:
Tighten the center bolt while turning the
propeller shaft a few times clockwise.
2. Slowly turn the drive shaft in and out
and read the dial gauge when the drive
shaft stops in each direction.
3. Determine the shim size according to
the chart.
50, 75, 80, 90 hp:
