NOTE:
• Make sure the "Y" marks on the con-
necting rod face toward the flywheel
side of the crankshaft.
• Do not move the connecting rod until
the big-end oil clearance measurement
has been completed.
(5) Tighten the bolts to the specified
torque.
(6) Tighten them further by 40°.
NOTE:
Mark the bolt position before tighten-
ing it further by 40° so that the additional
tightening angle is identified clearly.
(7) Remove the connecting rod cap.
(8) Measure the width of the compressed
Plastigauge
®
on each crank pin.
