ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE CABLE
NOTE:
Before adjusting the throttle cable, be sure
to adjust the carburetor synchronization
and the engine idling speed.
1. C h e ck:
• Throttle operation
Incorrect → Adjust.
NOTE:
Make sure the throttle valves are fully
closed when the remote control lever or the
tiller handle grip is fully closed.
2. Adjust:
• Throttle cable length
Adjustment steps
(1) Disconnect the throttle cable joint .
(2) Set the throttle control lever or tiller
handle grip to the fully closed position.
(3) Adjust the position of the throttle cable
joint until its hole aligns with the set pin
on the throttle control lever .
(4) Install the clip and tighten the lock-
nut .
CAUTION:
The throttle control cable joint must be
screwed in more than 8.0 mm (0.31 in).
