Tighten the filter to a torque of approximately 10 - 12 Nm.
Bleed the fuel system.
Perform a test run.
Check the filter for leaks.
Clean the inlet strainer and check it for damage.
Bleeding the fuel system
The fuel system is bled via the electric fuel pump.
To ensure that no error messages are created, you must not attempt to start the
system during the bleeding process.
Turn on the ignition.
J The electronic fuel pump switches on for 20 seconds to bleed the fuel system
and establish the required fuel pressure.
Wait until the electric fuel pump has been switched off by the control unit.
Turn off the ignition.
Repeat the process at least four times until the fuel system is bled.
Check the fuel prefilter and the fuel filter for leaks after starting the engine.
Notice
A brief delay in maintenance does not result in lower filter efficiency.
