Sink/Source Mode, External Power Supply
When using an external voltage source for controlling the digital inputs, set jumper S3 as shown in Figure 3.51. Here,
the inputs can be used for either sinking or sourcing.

Sinking/Sourcing Mode for Digital Inputs (CIMR-UB)
Use the wire jumper between terminals SC and SP or SC and SN to select between Sink mode, Source mode or external
power supply for the digital inputs S1 to S8 as shown in Table 3.18 (Default: Sink mode, internal power supply).
Note: Never short terminals SP and SN as doing so will damage the drive.
