4.1 Introduction
Structure of this chapter
This chapter describes repair activities for the IRB 1200. Each procedure contains
the information required to perform the activity, for example spare parts numbers,
required special tools, and materials.
WARNING
Repair activities not described in this chapter must only be carried out by ABB.
Report replaced units
Note
When replacing a part on the IRB 1200, report to your local ABB the serial number,
the article number, and the revision of both the replaced unit and the replacement
unit.
This is particularly important for safety equipment to maintain the safety integrity
of the installation.
Safety information
Make sure to read through the chapter Safety on page 19 before commencing any
service work.
Note
If the IRB 1200 is connected to power, always make sure that the IRB 1200 is
connected to protective earth and a residual current device (RCD) before starting
any repair work.
