Calibrating axis 2
Moving the robot to calibration position

Jog all axes to zero position.1
DANGER
When releasing the holding brakes, the robot axes
may move very quickly and sometimes in unex-
pected ways!
Make sure no personnel is near or beneath the
robot arm!

brakes on page 71.
Release the brakes and manually rotate axis 2
until the axis-2 calibration pin and calibration stop
touches each other gently. There should be no
pressing force between the pins.

When doing this, pay attention to robot pose in
order to avoid arm collision.
When the axis is in position, release the brake
release button to activate the brakes again.
Performing the fine calibration procedure

WARNING
Do not fine calibrate the robot without special
equipment used for axis calibration! It would
cause an unsatisfied accuracy in the robot
movement.

Choose fine calibration from Calib menu2
On the ABB menu, tap Calibration.
All mechanical units connected to the system are
shown along with their calibration status.
