5.8.1 Replacing the axis-1 motor
Replacing the motor on an inverted manipulator
To replace the motor on an inverted manipulator, the axis-1 gearbox must be
drained and a special lifting accessory must be used, according to the procedures
in this section.
The alternative is to lift down the manipulator to floor-standing, see Lifting down
the manipulator from inverted to floor-standing position on page 195.
Location of the motor
The motor is located as shown in the figure.

actions to be performed.
1 If installed in an inverted position (option 3317-1): drain the axis-1 gearbox.
2 Replace the motor.
