4.2.6.1 Application
Parallel redundancy protocol status (PRPSTATUS) together with Duo driver
configuration (DUODRV) are used to supervise and assure redundant Ethernet
communication over two channels. This will secure data transfer even though one
communication channel might not be available for some reason. Together
PRPSTATUS and DUODRV provide redundant communication over station bus
running IEC 61850-8-1 protocol. The redundant communication use both port AB and
CD on OEM module.
