You can also open the tip cover if the meter is already
turned on. In this case, the meter then switches to Test.
It advances a test area to the tip of the cassette and
then the prompt Apply blood appears.
The following are the exceptions:
If you are in the
Settings menu entering a number
(e.g. to change the time) or in the selection list (e.g.
to change the volume): in this case, when you open
the tip cover you will be asked whether you really
want to perform a test (see Chapter 16.2).
If you had turned on the meter using the
or
button (see Chapter 5.1 and 13): In this case, the
meter does not switch to Test. You must rst turn off
the meter. Then you can start the blood glucose test
either by opening the tip cover or via the Main menu
(see next page).
