5.10.3 Locking basal rate proles
Your Accu-Chek Spirit Combo insulin pump allows you to adapt
your hourly basal rate prole as needed. You can then lock
your basal rate proles to provide additional protection against
accidentally changing a basal rate during normal operation. If
the basal rate lock is set to ON, programming of the basal rate
proles 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 is blocked.
If you try to program a basal rate while the BASAL RATE LOCK is
turned ON, the key symbol in the BASAL RATE TOTAL screen
indicates that basal rate programming is locked.
The a and s functions are blocked.
However, you can still change between the different basal rate
proles 1 to 5.
Procedure for locking the basal rate proles

Press d to move to the THERAPY
SETTINGS screen.
Press f to select.
Press d to move to the BASAL RATE
LOCK screen.
Press a or s to turn the basal rate
lock ON or OFF.
Press f to save and exit.
