2.7 Inserting the cartridge
Have the following materials ready:
j A lled Accu-Chek Spirit 3.15 ml Cartridge System with a
connected Accu-Chek Spirit Combo insulin pump adapter
j A new Accu-Chek infusion set
Procedure for inserting the cartridge
Press d to move to the STOP YOUR
PUMP screen.
Press f to select.
The pump displays the STOP screen, and
insulin delivery stops.
Disconnect the infusion set.

Do not use your pump for the delivery of medication other
than U100 rapid-acting insulin. Humalog

(insulin lispro,
rDNA origin)*, Apidra

(insulin glulisine, rDNA origin)** and
NovoLog
®
(insulin aspart)*** have been tested and found to
be safe for use in the Accu-Chek Spirit Combo insulin pump.
Before using a different insulin with the Accu-Chek Spirit Combo
insulin pump, you should check the insulin label to make sure
it can be used with this device.
