Do not allow cable cover with lithium-ion batteries to come into contact with fire,
operate close to sources of heat or fire, open flame or heaters.
Do not bring into contact with corrosive liquids.
Ensure that no liquid or other foreign objects enter the cable cover with lithium-ion
batteries.
Provide for sufficient ventilation.
2.3.1. Proper storage
Store the cable cover with lithium-ion batteries separately from the DLT-V83.
Store the cable cover with lithium-ion batteries separately from acids and other
materials.
Store the DLT-V83 and accessories in cool and dry conditions and comply with the
specified storage temperature.
Provide for sufficient ventilation of the storage location.
Do not allow water or other liquids to come into contact with the DLT-V83 (use
particular caution with corrosive liquids).
Do not bring into contact with sources of heat or fire, open flame or heaters; do not
bring into contact with fire.
Keep suitable fire extinguishers ready (foam or powder) in accordance with safety
regulations.
Preventing physical damage due to deep discharge
Storing the lithium-ion batteries of the DLT-V83 incorrectly will cause them to
discharge completely (deep discharge) and thus damage them irreparably.
Place the DLT-V83 into operation within 3 months of receiving it and charge the
lithium-ion batteries, which are integrated into the cable cover.
If you are not placing the DLT-V83 into operation within 6 months, make sure you
charge it intermediately.
2.3.2. Charging correctly
Do not connect damaged cable covers with lithium-ion batteries to the DLT-V83; do
not charge.
Lithium-ion batteries become warm while charging; this is normal. However, if they
become excessively hot, disconnect the DLT-V83 immediately from the source of
power.
Do not continue to use the DLT-V83 if you notice unusual heat or smells during
charging.
Provide for sufficient ventilation of the DLT-V83 during charging.
