52 Chapter 3
Mode
Meas Off (Spectrum Analyzer) Measurement
Mode
mode is Normal or Delta.
Parameter Name Marker X Axis Value
Parameter Type Float64
Mode Spectrum Analyzer
SCPI Name Marker X Axis Value
Remote Command :CALCulate:MARKer[1]|2|3|4:X <real>
:CALCulate:MARKer[1]|2|3|4:X?
SCPI Example CALC:MARK3:X 1GHz activates the Marker3 and positions it
on the trace at 1 GHz.
Remote Command Notes You must be in the SA mode to use this command. Use
INSTrument:SELect to set the mode.
Remotely, if no suffix is sent it will use the fundamental units
for the current marker X Axis Scale. If a suffix is sent that does
not match the current marker X Axis Scale unit, an error
“Invalid suffix” will be generated.
The query returns the marker's absolute X Axis value if the
control mode is Normal, or the offset from the marker's
reference marker if the control mode is Delta. The query is
returned in the fundamental units for the current marker X
Axis scale: Hz for Frequency and Inverse Time, seconds for
Period and Time. If the marker is Off the response is not a
number (NAN).
Dependencies /
Couplings
Marker X parameter is coupled with the Type/Start/Stop of the
X Axis scale and by the number of sweep points used by the
measurement.
Unit/Terminator GHz | MHz | kHz | Hz if X Axis Scale is a Frequency Scale
s | ms | µs | ns if X Axis Scale is a Time Scale
Preset/Default After a preset, all Markers are turned OFF, so Marker X Axis
Value query will return a not a number (NAN). If Marker X is
queried with no value sent first but if the Marker is active, the
Frequency center of screen value will be returned. Note that per
default after a preset, the trace domain is frequency.
As well, the default Marker X Axis value will be depending on
the frequency range of the instrument. 3.00005 GHz is correct
for the 6 GHz Instrument only (Option 506). For a 3 GHz
Instrument (Option 503), the default will be 1.50005 GHz.
