Mode
Meas Off (Spectrum Analyzer) Measurement
Mode
Avg Mode
Sets the type of termination control used for the averaging function. This determines the
averaging action after the specified number of measurements (see
Avg Number) has been
reached.
Exponential Sets the
Avg Mode function to exponential. With exponential averaging mode,
each successive data acquisition is exponentially weighted and combined with the existing
average. This weights new data more than the old data, which facilitates tracking of slow
changing signals.
Repeat Sets
Avg Mode to the repeat function. Repeat averaging shows resulting data after
the selected number of sweeps has been averaged, then clears the data before repeating
the process.
NOTE With large average counts and/or slow traces, the trace from the last
completed result remains on the display while
