Mode
Span/X Scale (Spectrum Analyzer Measurement)
Activates the span functions menu. The menu selections are determined by the current
measurement mode.
Span
Sets the span frequency value. Span frequency describes the frequency range that is
positioned symmetrically about center frequency.
Changing span changes the displayed frequency range symmetrically about the center
frequency.
While in the SA measurement, setting the span to 0 Hz through SCPI or the front-panel
numeric key pad puts the analyzer into the Zero Span Measurement.
While in the Zero Span measurement, setting the Span to a non-zero value through SCPI
or Front Panel puts the analyzer in the SA measurement.
In a Zero Span measurement, the frequency entry mode is always center/span.

Example FREQ:SPAN 2 GHz sets the span to 2 GHz
