Chapter 7 Configure Switch Features
Configure Port Mirroring in Device Manager
To configure port mirroring, follow these steps.
1. From the Configure menu, choose Smartports.
2. Select the checkbox next to the port to do the monitoring, and then
click Edit.
3. Complete the fields, and then click Submit.
4. Verify that the Port Mirroring role is assigned to the port.
Field Description
Interface Name Displays the port you selected to do the monitoring.
Role Choose Port Mirroring.
Ingress Vlan (Optional). Choose a VLAN to monitor.
Source Interface Choose the port to monitor. The port you assigned to the Port Mirroring role monitors traffic
that passes through this port.
