4.9 Twin row disc cultivator
The discs (Fig. 60/1) arranged in an diagonal angle
towards the driving direction prepare the seed bed..
Adjustments can be carried out as follows
• the working intensity of the discs across the
working depth of the disc cultivator
• the length of the two outer discs allowing the
adaptation to varying soil conditions
• the two side discs (Fig. 60/2) in longitudinal and
transverse direction.
Correctly set outer discs and side discs prevent
soil flow beyond the working width of the machine.

The sprung rubber mounting of the individual discs
allows
• the adaptation to the field contours
• the discs giving way when hitting firm obstacles,
e.g. stones. In this way the individual discs are
protected from damage.
