A pair of suitable radio modems (or a combination of a radio handle with a radio modem).
The radio modem is used for the data communication between the control computer of
the GRP system FX and the total station. Please see Section 1.5.4, “Radio modem for the
communication between track trolley and total station” on page 17 for a list of supported
radio modems.

1.4.1 GRP 1000
The configuration GRP 1000 is a measuring system consisting of the track trolley TGS FX for
track geometry measurement. Measurements take place via the internal sensors for the track
gauge, super elevation (cant) and stationing. At the same time, an external measurement of the
trolley position takes place via a Leica total station or a GNSS system, providing the absolute
coordinates as well as the track parameters for each measured point on the track.
