1.4.7 IMS 1000
The configuration IMS 1000 is a measuring system consisting of the track trolley TGS FX, the
Amberg Measurement Unit (AMU) and the battery column GBS 3010 (with AMU 1030 and
2030) or GBS 1010 (with AMU 2010). The battery column provides power to the whole system
and is used to install a Leica total station on top. This configuration allows measuring the relative
and absolute track geometry based on measurements of control points, which are located on
the side of the track without using an additional external sensor (e.g. total station on tripod or
second trolley).

1.4.8 IMS 3000
The configuration IMS 3000 is a measuring system consisting of the track trolley TGS FX,
the Amberg Measurement Unit (AMU), the battery column GBS 3010 (with AMU 1030 and
2030) or GBS 1010 (with AMU 2010) and the Profiler FX. This configuration allows measuring
the relative and absolute track geometry based on measurements to control points which are
located on the side of the track without using an additional external sensor (e.g. total station
on tripod or second trolley).
