Issue Solution
After pressing the ON button, the Profiler
FX does not initialize (one full rotation). No
values are shown.
■
Check the power supply and cables.
■
Change battery.
After pressing the ON button, the display
shows "Please wait...", but the distance
module does not rotate.
■
Switch OFF the Profiler FX. Wait for approx
10 seconds and switch on again. Remove
the power cable if necessary.
After switching on the Profiler FX does not
stop parallel to the track trolley.
■
Switch OFF the Profiler FX. Wait for approx
10 seconds and switch on again.
■
If this does not resolve the problem the
system must be adjusted.
5.2.14 Laser classification
Only Amberg Technologies authorized service workshops are entitled to repair these
products.
Precautions: Do not open, change, manipulate and/or repair any part of the product
by yourself. In case of malfunction contact your local dealer.
The distance module DEN-10-500 produces a laser which emerges from the front of the
instrument.
It is a Class 2 laser product in accordance with:
1) IEC 60825-1 (2001) “Radiation safety of laser products”
2) EN 60825-1 (2001) “Radiation safety of laser products”
It is a Class II laser product in accordance with:

FDA 21CFR 1040.10 1004.11 (US Department of Health and Human Service, Code of
Federal Regulations).

Beam divergence 0.16 x 0.6 mrad
Pulse duration 15 x 10 - 9 s
Max. Radiant power 0.95 mW
Measurement uncertainty ± 5 %
Max. Radiant power per pulse 8 mW
Laser Class 2/II products
Do not stare into laser beam or direct it towards other people unnecessarily. Eye protection is
normally afforded by aversion responses including the blink reflex.
Looking directly into the beam with optical aids (binoculars, telescopes) can be
hazardous.
Precautions: Do not look into the laser beam. Make sure the laser beam is not aimed
towards the eyes.
