Chapter 8 Repair
The following information gives instructions for minor repairs. Please contact your local Amberg
Technologies representative if a major repair is needed.
Always check the accuracy of the geometric and sensor parameters after any repair
work. See Chapter 6, Maintenance, checking and adjustment on page 79 for details.
8.1 Exchange of gauge measuring wheel
Wear on the gauge wheel may require a replacement. The standard gauge wheel has a
diameter of 40mm (option. 30mm). Exchange the gauge wheel if its diameter becomes smaller
than 39mm (29mm) or if the surface is damaged and causes an uneven rotation.

Remove the washer underneath the gauge wheel with
circlip pliers (1).

Slide the gauge wheel off (2).
■
To install the new gauge wheel, repeat in reverse
order.
8.2 Exchange of wheels
8.2.1 Single wheel
■
Remove all 3 screws (1) with an Allen key.

Remove the complete wheel including the axle (2).
■
To install the new wheel, repeat in reverse order.
■
Secure the screws with a small amount of Loctite or
similar.
After exchanging the wheel on the one-wheel part, it is absolutely necessary to inspect
the geometrical parameters of the trolley. Be aware that adjusting the geometrical
parameters on the sensor box requires at least a power user licence for Amberg
Fidelity. Please look up the respective chapters in the Amberg Fidelity manual.
