User manual Safety Directions
■
The total system weighs between approximately 28 kg (GRP 1000) and up to 60 kg (GRP/
IMS 5000). Incorrect lifting technique can cause back pain or associated problems. Consider
the maximum lifting limits and get help if required. Please obey the weights and the lifting
instructions - see Section 11.11.2, “Weights per handle” on page 101
■
The GRP System FX is equipped with a dead-man's brake that prevents the system from
moving accidentally. However, on a steep slope of the track, the trolley can slide. The operator
is responsible to ensure that the trolley is sufficiently secured.
■
The GRP System FX is supplied with rechargeable batteries. Inappropriate use of the battery
may lead to an explosion. Consider the warnings and manuals for the correct handling of the
batteries. Only use original batteries.
3.2 Avoid changes of geometric trolley parameters
The TGS FX trolley geometry is designed to be operated on a track that complies
with the infrastructure owner's standards. Nevertheless, obstacles such as incorrectly
installed bolts may restrict the trolley's movement.
Precautions: Watch out for obstacles as described and move the trolley carefully to
avoid derailment. Avoid speeds higher than 1 m/sec. Special attention is needed on
switches and level-crossings.
■
It is advisable to check and adjust the trolley periodically and particularly after derailment.
Measurements basing on equipment with wrong geometric and/or sensor parameters will
result in incorrect geometric information.
■
Ensure that the trolley wheels are clean during measurement. Remove all dust and grease
from the trolley wheels. Pay particular attention to the flanges of the two wheel section and
the gauge measuring wheel.
■
The GRP System FX is a precision measuring instrument. It is not intended for use as a
transport vehicle. Items must not be loaded on the trolley!
