The configuration VMS 3000 basically consists of standard GRP 3000 plus a second trolley

GRP TSC which is used to install an automatic tribrach and a total station. This set of trolleys

allows measuring the track geometry based on measurements to control points which are

located on the side of the track. In contrast to the configuration VMS 1000, the GRP TSC used

for this configuration does not have to be equipped with internal sensors for track gauge, super

elevation (cant) and stationing.

1.4.5 GRP 5000

The configuration GRP 5000 is used for complete kinematic track environment surveys. On

the track trolley TGS FX, the battery column GBC 5000 with a battery module GEB 5000 or

GEB 5010 is installed. On top of the battery column one of the supported high speed laser

scanners is installed (see Section 1.5.3, “High-speed laser scanner for the configuration GRP/

IMS 5000” on page 16. for the list of supported laser scanners)

1.4.6 IMS Relative

The configuration IMS Relative is a measuring system consisting of the track trolley TGS FX

and the Amberg Measurement Unit (AMU). This configuration allows measuring the relative

track geometry.
