Chapter 4 Assembly, Installation,
Start Up
The following sections explain the assembly of the track trolley and the individual components.
4.1 Assembly of the track trolley TGS FX
Follow the instructions below to prepare the track trolley TGS FX for operation:
1. Attach the track gauge adaptor to the single wheel part of the track trolley according to the
nominal track gauge.
2. Using the four bolts supplied, screw the single wheel part to the 2 wheels part of the trolley.
Ensure all screws are well tightened.
3. Adjust the push handle to the desired position and place it at a comfortable height.
4. Install the battery:.
For the configurations GRP 1000, GRP 3000 and GRP TSC, insert the GBS 1010 battery
in the space provided and connect the power cable.
For the configuration GRP/IMS 5000, insert the battery module GEB 5000 / GEB 5010
into the battery column GBC 5000, then install the GBC 5000 on the trolley and connect
the power cable.
For the configurations IMS 1000 and IMS 3000, install the GBS 3010 on the trolley and
connect the power cable.
As soon as the battery is attached, the internal sensors of the track trolley TGS FX
are supplied with power. Therefore, always remove the power cable when you no
longer need the GRP System FX.
5. Place the computer on the computer holder on the push handle.
6. Connect the USB cable from the computer to the appropriate socket on the track trolley.
Always use the same USB socket at the computer otherwise Windows will reinstall the
drivers and assign different COM port numbers. The measuring software must then be
reconfigured.
It is strongly recommended to use only the battery modules GEB 5010 / GEB 3010 as
source of power for the measurement laptop. Τhe use of any other source of power is
sole responsibility of the operator.
