After switching on the Profiler the measurement and storage of data is fully controlled by the

software. The following information explains the operation on the Profiler FX.

For detailed information on the software see “Amberg Rail 3.0” software manual.

5.2.2 Switching ON

Before switching on, make sure that the cable is properly connected to the Profiler FX and the

TGS FX trolley and that the trolley has external power supply.

Push the button labelled ON (1).

After switching on the Profiler FX, the distance module rotates and comes back to stop in a

horizontal position (parallel to the trolley).

If the distance module does not come to the stop position, remove the power cable,

wait for 10 seconds, reconnect the cable and switch it on again.

5.2.3 Information on the display

The display shows you information about the current measurement of vertical angle and slope

distance. Please note that these values are referenced to the axis of the Profiler FX and do not

take into account cant measurement and the offset to TCL.
