If the product is improperly disposed of, the following can happen:
■
If polymeric parts are burnt, poisonous gases are produced which may impair health.
■
If batteries are damaged or exposed to strong heat, they can explode and cause
poisoning, burning, corrosion or environmental contamination.
■
By disposing of the product irresponsibly you may enable unauthorized persons to
use it in contravention of the regulations, exposing themselves and third parties to
the risk of severe injury and rendering the environment liable to contamination.
■
Improper disposal of silicone oil may cause environmental contamination.
Precautions: Dispose of the product appropriately in accordance with the regulations in
force in your country. Always prevent access to the product by unauthorized personnel.
The battery chargers as provided with the system and used to charge the battery
modules GEB 5000, GEB 5010, GBS 3010 and ATPC 1000 are only for indoor use.
Outdoor use could damage the battery charger and result in minor or moderate injury.
Precautions: Charge the batteries GEB 5000, GEB 5010, GBS 3010 and ATPC 1000
only indoor.
3.7 Laser classification
Depending on the configuration of the GRP System FX, a laser is integrated in the
system. The following components and accessories have an integrated laser:
■
Profiler FX (system configuration GRP/IMS 3000)
■
High-speed laser scanner (system configuration GRP/IMS 5000)
■
Leica total station
Precautions: Please read the respective manuals carefully and observe the safety
precautions when working with these instruments.
3.8 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
The term Electromagnetic Compatibility is taken to mean the capability of the product to function
in an environment where electromagnetic radiation and electrostatic discharges are present,
without causing electromagnetic disturbances to other equipment.
This is a product of class A. The product can cause electromagnetic perturbing radiation
in a residential area. In this case, the operator may be required to take appropriate
action and will pay for this.
Electromagnetic radiation can cause disturbances in other equipment. Although the
product meets the strict regulations and standards which are in force in this respect,
Amberg Technologies cannot completely exclude the possibility that other equipment
may be disturbed.
There is a risk that disturbances may be caused in other equipment if the product is used
in conjunction with accessories from other manufacturers, for example field computers,
personal computers, two-way radios, non-standard cables or external batteries.
