The GRP System FX is pushed continuously along the track at a regular speed.

The measured values are continuously recorded and stored. Measurement intervals are
dependent on measurement speed.
1.9 System components
The GRP System FX has been developed to be highly modular. The following overview shows
the dedicated components of the system:
System component Description
TGS FX
Track Gauging System TGS FX
The TGS includes the integrated sensors
for track gauge, super elevation (cant)
and stationing with integrated sensor
controls and communication hub. Standard
configuration is for a track gauge of 1000mm.
For different track gauges, the appropriate
track gauge extension is necessary.
The illustration shows the track trolley
with the 435mm gauge extension (for the
measurement on a track gauge of 1435mm).
One gauge extension of choice is included
in the system packages, additional gauge
extensions have to be ordered separately.
Insulation between the 2-wheel-part and the
1-wheel-part ensures that no electric shunt
is created between the left and the right rail.
The track Trolley TGS FX is available with
two different wheel configurations:

Metallic surface with synthetic core
■
Synthetic material

GRP TSC
Track Trolley GRP TSC
The track trolley GRP TSC is a special
version for the use as a total station carrier
for the system configurations VMS 1000
and VMS 3000. For the configuration VMS
3000, the GRP TSC has no internal sensors
for track gauge, super elevation (cant) and
stationing. Internal sensors can be ordered
separately.
