4.8.2 Installation of the battery column and the scanner
■
Ensure that the track trolley is securely
fastened together.
■
Line up indentation (1) on the base plate of
the battery column with the protrusion and
slide into position.
■
Fully tighten the screw (2) and ensure that
the base plate is pushed right against the
back.
■
Line up indentation (3) on the adaptor plate
with the protrusion on the battery column
and slide into position.
■
Fully tighten the screw (4) and ensure
that the base plate is pushed right against
the back. Check this occasionally during
measurements.
■
The rotating mirror (5) will rotate with a
very high speed (up to 200 rotations per
second depending on laser scanner type)
when the laser scanner is in use. For safety
reasons, please do not touch this part and
do not look into the laser beam.
4.8.3 Cable connections
Make sure that the main switch on the battery column is switched off before connecting
the cables.
The following cable connections are required:
All configurations

Power supply from battery GEB 5000 / GEB 5010 to the track trolley TGS FX
■
Data communication from TGS FX to computer (USB cable)
GRP 5000 with high-speed laser scanner
■
Power supply from the battery module GEB 5000 / GEB 5010 to the high-speed laser
scanner. Please ensure to have the correct power cable:

The socket of the battery module GEB 5000 is different from the socket of the battery
module GEB 5010
■
The sockets on the supported laser scanners are different.
■
Data communication from high-speed laser scanner to computer (LAN cable, crossed).
Please note that the socket on the different laser scanners are different and that you need
the correct cable.
