For a fast and accurate measurement of a specific point, it is advised to use the rotation knob
(2). Alternatively you can rotate the distance module (3) manually.
5.2.5 Distance measurement
Press the button (4) (arrow symbol) to trigger a distance measurement. The result is shown
in the display.
5.2.6 Display brightness
After booting device, the display is set to the maximum brightness. By pressing the ON button
again, the display illumination will be switched off. Further pressing the button allows increasing
brightness step by step.
5.2.7 Distance Unit
Press the button F1 to change the unit of displayed distance values. This affects the measured
distance and the Cartesian coordinate components. Repeatedly pressing this button changes
the unit from meter -> feet -> U.S. feet -> meter and so on.
5.2.8 Angle Unit
Press the button F2 to change the unit of displayed angle values. Repeatedly pressing this
button changes the unit from Gon -> Radian -> Degree (decimal) -> degree ° minutes ' seconds''
-> Gon and so on.
5.2.9 Displayed coordinate system
Press the button F3 to switch the displayed coordinates between polar coordinate system and
Cartesian coordinate system.
5.2.10 Standby mode
If a time limit is set, the Profiler FX switches to power save mode after the defined limit. In
power save mode, the CPU is slowed down, the display illumination is switched off, and the
display shows "STANDBY" with the battery symbol.
The measurement mode can be reactivated by pressing any key or by a command via the
interface.
5.2.11 Switching OFF
Press the OFF-button for three seconds to switch off the Profiler P110 FX.
5.2.12 Communication parameter
The parameter settings for communication between control computer and Profiler FX are
already predefined and cannot be changed.
